Microneedling
Collagen Induction Therapy
Microneedling utilizes a specialized device to help stimulates the body’s natural collagen and elastin. Over time patients will notice brighter skin, an improvement in fine lines and wrinkles and diminished hyperpigmentation and scarring.
Microneedling can be combined with Platelet Rich Plasma. During this process, the patients’ own blood is drawn and centrifuged in order to separate Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from Platelet Poor Plasma. PRP contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors that promote cell growth and the regeneration of tissue. After the skin is numbed, PRP is applied and then a controlled skin pen is used.
Hyaluronic Acid can be used in combination with PRP for added hydration or as a solo treatment to improve dull, dry skin for patients not wanting PRP.
Microneedling can be used to address many skin conditions including:
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Sun damage and hyperpigmentation
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Stretch marks
- Poor, dull complexion
- Acne Scars
This procedure is minimally invasive and requires minimal downtime. Most patients return to normal activities the following day. It is suitable for all Fitzpatrick Skin types.
For optimal results, a series of 3 treatments is recommended spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart
